um, so you say the barrier is floating? lol? as long as your troops is still stand on ground, they are still sucked into the earth. so unless you say all your troops are floating with the barrier.
anyway, True Wind controls all air, including the oxygen in the pipe and the oxygen around you, so the flamethrower still doesn't work and by now you shouldn't have any air to breath and exhaust yourself by creating such a barrier without breathing.

Ami takes a seat in the stands as she observes the battle unfold, curious as to the different abilities of the warriors, and why they were fighting for in the first place. "Boys," she sighs. Always looking for a fight. Sensing that their battle would probably endanger the spectators, she puts up a barrier around the ring to protect them and still allow them to watch. It wouldn't do to have a mob of people angry at you, no matter the situation.

Good idea, but at the same time, how are you still alive? And all those poor people are dying because of a certain somebody. Anyway, after finally realizing she can't breathe, >.> Ami calls it a day and heads back to the inn. Nothing interesting here anyway. =P

I'm still alive because around where i stand there is air....
Realizing the innocent people are being hurted by the battle, skywing call upon the Rune of Beginning. The rune is splited into halves, the Bright Shield Rune from the Rune of the Beginning started to shine, creating healing light that shines to all the innocent stand by people, at the same time creating a bright unpenetrable barrier around the people.
This is the Rune of Beginning so it has priority over any other runes (except maybe Rune of the End, lol) so it negates the True Wind Rune's effect for all those under its barrier. The air inside the barrier created by the Bright Shield Rune returns to normal, people can breath. Earthquakes also stop inside the barrier. Anywhere else on the battle field, the situation remains the same.

you were on the battle field, Bright Shield Rune created the barrier splitting the area between the battle and the audience, you can't cross.
And you still don't have air the breath when you're on the battle field

Yay! *goes back to watch*
Ami notices that alanc has a flamethrower and wonders where he got it.

Ami also wonders why time has seemed to stop for the combatants. Bored out of her mind, she takes this opportunity to run down and scribble on their faces, then quickly runs back up to her seat. =P

*reads a book while waiting for sky and alanc to do something*
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having finished the book, it's sequels, and any other books directly related to it, she finally snaps.
Hyperspace area formation! Mercury creates a barrier around sky's with a gap between them, then fill that gap with supercooled water to an extreme pressure, greater than anything found on Earth. If your barrier should go down, both of you will be submerged in ultra cold water that freezes on contact.
After that, she activates her computer and begins to analyze Sky's barrier, looking for a way to break it.
